Capcom aims to bring this remake in line with other modern horror titles, while capturing the essence of the original. It’s likely that the “tank controls” from the original will be dropped in favor of a more traditional scheme that you’ll find in today’s games.
It’s unclear how far the game will lean into the action or if there will be quick-time events, but given that Capcom has confirmed the remake will be a “reimagining”, it’s likely that many features of the original will be changed. or be completely removed. It seems likely that the attaché case mechanic will be featured in the remake, one of the most memorable aspects of the original, which served as an inventory management minigame.
